Overview

LIT Technology is a leading manufacturer of ultraviolet water disinfection equipment in Russia and Eastern Europe. We are among the top five manufacturers of UV systems in the world.

LIT Technology is a scientific and production enterprise founded in 1991 specializing in development, manufacture and application of systems for water disinfection by ultraviolet (UV) radiation; manufacture of UV radiation sources; development and application of scientific innovations in the field of water distribution and treatment.

In the past thirteen years our company has established a strong hold in the market for large-scale UV systems for municipalities and industry as well as in a wide range of mid- and small-scale UV plants. LIT Technology is a subsidiary of the LIT Group that is a multi-business group of companies. In 2000 LIT Technology began to deal with air and surface disinfection, conduct air biological researches, develop and install UV equipment for air and surface disinfection. LIT technology benefits by being provided with financial/investment support by the parent LIT Group.

Success in business

LIT Technology produces multi-purpose machinery, special germicidal lamps and has a scientific and research department, a development and design bureau, technology department, sales and marketing departments.

Most of the 200 LIT employees are graduates of the best Russian Universities. They are professionals in water microbiology, electrical and electromagnetic radiation engineering, hydro and air dynamics, microbiology and machinery.

In 2000 LIT Technology was awarded a Government Prize by the Russian Federation as acknowledgement of LIT's contribution to the development and application of UV technology.

Solutions for water disinfection

LIT Technology offers a full range of solutions for disinfection of potable, surface, technology process water, waste and reused water, sea water, and water for special application.

Our standard products cover flow capacities from 0.5 to several hundred thousand cubic metres per hour. Thus the company markets versatile range to provide effective barriers against hazardous microorganisms using unique packaged and open channel systems equipped with germicidal mercury and high output amalgam lamps.

LIT Technology offers a wide range of equipment for air disinfection in crowded open areas and in public transport. In addition LIT Technology markets UV-equipment for disinfection of different types of surfaces for food and pharmaceutical production companies.

All equipment is fitted out with an integrated chemical cleaning and/or mechanical wiper system. All our products are approved by the Russian Ministry of Health Protection and the certified and fully meet the requirements of hygienic standards.

Quality of products

All LIT systems are manufactured according to international quality standards using high quality materials and components and utilizing modern metal processing technologies.

The high quality fused quartz, stainless steel and other long-lived materials provide high durability as well as low capital and operating cost. High quality insulation of all electrical parts and devices guarantees electrosecurity even in tough climatic conditions.

The quality of LIT products and technologies is corroborated by numerous awards, certificates and diplomas from international exhibitions. Before shipment to the customer each UV system passes strict tests in our quality control laboratory. LIT systems are well-known in the Russian market and have strong positions as a high-standard leading products.

R & D Centre

Our continuous researches in the forefront of UV technology and innovative activity of our Research and Development Centre allow LIT to be recognized among world's leading manufactures in this field. The company owns "know-how" in the fields of molecular physics, plasma and gas discharge physics, water treatment and distribution.

LIT has 16 patents for UV disinfection technologies and applications, UV systems and their units, germicidal lamps that are key elements of any UV system. Our broad accumulated experience (more than 200 integrated research projects) allow us to provide customers (private and municipalities) with sophisticated optimal solutions. The results achieved by company's Research and Development Centre confirm the high efficiency of "LIT" products by deactivating hard to kill pathogens such as Giardia Lamblia and Cryptosporidium.

R & D Centre collaborates closely with Russian government organizations. Several state hygiene regulations and guidelines concerning the application of UV technology for water disinfection were developed and introduced with active participation of our experts.

LIT's Lighting Productions Facility manufactures high quality germicidal lamps based on the latest technology. The newest UV disinfection equipment - vertical UV module for open channels and the most compact packaged units are equipped with modern germicidal amalgam lamps. The close cooperation between researchers and production specialists allows LIT to improve existing technologies, innovate new ideas and rapidly introduce new product lines to the market to meet specific customer requirements.

LIT Growth and Achievements

LIT Technology pursues an active marketing policy both within Russia and Internationally . For several years the company's turnover has increased by 1.5-2 times each year. Due to constantly growing numbers of customers, a new production facility adding an additional 2,200 m² has been started.

LIT Technologies has a widespread network of dealers in Russia and the CIS territory, additionally the company is experienced in collaborating with other countries. Following our active development policy, LIT Technology sees expansion in the international market as the most important goal for long-term cooperation with foreign partners and customers.

By the beginning of 2002 year we had over 600 plants in 67 regions of the Russian Federation as well as installations in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan. LIT has also provided its UV systems to wide international markets. Our products successfully operate in Germany, France, Greece, Spain, South Korea and other countries. In total over 2 000 LIT Technology installations operate in Russia and around the world. Among them are the largest Europe an UV stations for drinking water and wastewater disinfection with flow capacities up to 290000 m³/d. Currently, several large-scale installations with flow capacities up to 1000000 m³/d are in different stages of development and production.

In 2003 LIT Technology launched a wide range of equipment for air and surface disinfection capable of satisfying almost any market demand.
